Riverside Donates South Washington Street Building

Riverside Healthcare recently showed support to the Pregnancy Resource Center of Kankakee by donating a building to the organization. The building, located on South Washington Street in Kankakee, is set to open as the new Pregnancy Resource Center location in late spring.

"This building served us for a time and we're always looking for ways to broaden our support to the community," said Phil Kambic, Riverside President and CEO. "The Pregnancy Resource Center serves so many and we're glad to see the building put to good use through their work to care for those in need."
"We are truly humbled and incredibly grateful to be the recipient of Riverside's generous donation," said Kristen Lonberger, Pregnancy Resource Center Executive Director. "We are thrilled to be moving to the heart of the community and look forward to being able to serve more clients and meet the needs of the women and families that walk through our doors."
The Pregnancy Resource Center provides free services in a caring and confidential setting by staff who specialize in pregnancy and sexual health issues. Their services include:
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Ultrasound scanning
  • Classes and mentoring
  • Support for expectant mothers
