Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are an important part of Riverside Healthcare. That's why Riverside offers opportunities for service that accommodate the schedules of students, working adults, and retirees. As part of our team, volunteers complement the care delivered by our professional staff by making sure that the needs of patients, families, and visitors are met.
Our volunteers have an opportunity to serve in many different ways. We offer volunteer opportunities in clinical settings, customer service areas, gift shop, and clerical support areas in both office and educational areas; just to name a few.
If you are interested in joining our volunteer team, please complete a Volunteer Interest Form.

Paws and Connect
Riverside is proud to have Animal Ambassadors, community members who bring their specially trained and certified dogs to see patients at Riverside Medical Center. A visit from an Animal Ambassador is always something special for patients, aiding their health and healing.
Volunteers and their pets must undergo comprehensive screening and training to participate in the program. Contact Volunteer Services by calling (815) 935-3277 to find out how to volunteer or to have an Animal Ambassador visit your room while you are at the hospital. Visits are granted by request only.
