Ami Vaidya, MD

Riverside Healthcare is pleased to welcome Ami Vaidya, MD to Riverside Medical Group. She will be seeing patients at Riverside Pulmonology Specialists, located at 500 N. Wall Street in Kankakee and 5775 E. Highway 113 in Coal City.

It is about forming long-term relationships supported by compassion, excellence and devotion," she states. Dr. Vaidya is passionate about helping people at all stages of life, and looks forward to continuing her journey at Riverside Healthcare.

Dr. Vaidya is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonology and has authored 10 peer-reviewed medical publications. She is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

She received her Doctor of Medicine from Ross University in Dominica, West Indies. She then completed her internal medicine residency at New York Methodist Hospital and went on to complete her pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Vaidya is trained in bronchoscopy, endo-bronchial ultrasound with trans-bronchial needle aspiration and biopsy along with other advanced pulmonary procedures.
