About this event
Taking Flight is presented by Riverside Rehabilitation and Therapy.Riverside Rehabilitation and Therapy
Practice a day at the airport, from check-in to takeoff
Taking Flight lets you walk through the whole airport experience without leaving the ground. Practice checking a bag, going through security, talking with a gate agent, and boarding a plane — at your own pace, with people there to help.
20 minutes. We keep each group small so there's time to go at your own pace and ask questions.
One spot covers the person practicing. Family members and caregivers are welcome and don't need a spot of their own.
Everyone needs a time slot
Slots run every 20 minutes from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pick the one that works for you and arrive at the hangar a few minutes early.
Who this event is for
Taking Flight is open to anyone who wants to practice air travel before a real trip. That includes people with physical or developmental disabilities, people living with or recovering from a neurological condition (a condition that affects the brain, spine, or nerves), and anyone who feels uneasy about airports and flying.
