Dr. Crawford is Now Accepting Patients at Orthopedic Specialists in Bourbonnais

KANKAKEE, IL (September 12, 2018) - Riverside Healthcare is pleased to welcome Hand & Orthopedic Surgeon, Taruna Madhav Crawford, MD. Dr. Crawford will be seeing patients at Orthopedic Specialists, located at 400 Riverside Drive, Suite 1600 in Bourbonnais.

Dr. Crawford comes to Riverside with several years of experience in her field. She received her Doctor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, located in Chicago, IL. Dr. Crawford then completed a General Surgery Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, OH. Additionally, Dr. Crawford gained additional experience through her Fellowship with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons through the Washington Health Policy Fellows in Rosemont, IL, and a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Philadelphia Hand Center associated with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital located in Wynnewood, PA.




Dr. Crawford is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and holds a Subspecialty Certificate in Hand Surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. She is also a Certified Independent Medical Examiner by the American Board of Certified Independent Medical Examiners.

In addition to her education, she is an active member of several professional organizations:

  • American Society for Surgery of the Hand
  • American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
  • Chicago Society for Surgery of the Hand

Route 45/52 Closure Announcement Update

Road construction to effect Riverside Bourbonnais Campus. While a portion of Route 45/52 is closed in Bourbonnais between Burns Road and St. George access to Riverside’s Bourbonnais Plaza as well as the Riverside Cancer Institute and the Riverside Health Fitness Center is open to traffic coming from the north. Although signs at Rt. 45/52 indicate the road is closed south of St. George Road, access to the Riverside facilities remain open.
