A Message from Dr. Ahsan Basha:

I started out as an engineer, but soon realized computers couldn’t match the joy of caring for people. Since 1993, I’ve dedicated my life to oncology, hematology, and internal medicine. After earning my medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, I completed residency and fellowship at Rush University Medical Center and became board‑certified in medical oncology and internal medicine.

You’ll find me at Riverside Cancer Institute in Bourbonnais and our Watseka Campus, bringing advanced cancer care close to home. I speak English, Urdu, and Hindi, so we can talk in the language that feels most comfortable to you.

Sometimes, I can’t promise a cure, but I will always promise the best care we know—whether that’s chemotherapy, other medicines, or steady emotional support. Our team of radiation oncologists, surgeons, therapists, dietitians, and social workers works as one for you. If anything feels unclear, tell me; we’ll walk through it together, one day at a time.
