About Me

A Message from Dr. Kevin Varghese:

Mental health care should be accessible to everyone—no matter where you live. Too often, smaller communities get overlooked, especially in a big state like Illinois. That’s one of the reasons I was drawn to Riverside. I believe in meeting people where they are and making sure you have access to the care you need, close to home.

If you're thinking about starting your mental health journey, I encourage you to keep an open mind. I know it can feel scary, and there’s still a lot of stigma around getting help. But you're not alone. There are people—both in and outside the hospital—who want to support you and walk with you through it.

Mental health care should be equitable, compassionate, and rooted in connection. I’m here to listen, support you, and help you take that first step. It may feel daunting, but it’s worth it. There is hope, and there is help—and we’ll find the path forward together.
