About Me

Dr. Akinde received her master of public health and doctor of medicine degrees at Drexel University in Philadelphia. She then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

In addition to her education, Dr. Akinde has several published works and research projects. She is also a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

I've been very worried about the recent diagnosis with Hashimoto's and PCOS w/ having a blood clot last year. She did great with explaining my options for birth control but not much info on PCOS. I just felt rushed once birth control was decided and out the door without talking about my other diagnosis. Just didn't feel that great of a connection like I have with my past doc before moving here.

She was very independent I loved that didn't seem so needy like previous providers. She listened , knew exactly what she was talking about, had some good advice. I Highly recommend her .

Very friendly and glad seeing Dr Akinde. She was caring and listened to my concerns. She helped me make a decision on what contraceptive to choose and use that was best for me. I had a very good experience and was very thorough and gentle with my pap and exam.

Came off a bit rushed and dismissive of my health concerns. I do appreciate that she ordered some basic initial testing to figure out what could be going on, but would've liked a more aggressive/robust care plan for my concerns

Dr.Akinde is one of the best doctors I've had. She listens, is knowledgeable, and is actually sympathetic when patients are in a scary or just unknown situation. She is also so personable and just overall a kind Doctor.
