Child & Adolescent Inpatient Care Services

Providing compassionate, structured support for young individuals during critical times, ensuring a safe path to stability and mental well-being.

Just like adults, children can experience mental health challenges that affect the way they think, feel and act. While some behaviors are just part of growing up, others need expert help. If your child’s problems are serious, ongoing and affect daily activities, don’t feel embarrassed or ashamed. Riverside Healthcare Behavioral Health Services can offer your family hope and help.

Peace of Mind Starts Here

Riverside has hospital-based treatment programs for children and teens ages 5-17 dealing with severe mental health challenges. Our programs offer safety and stabilization through around-the-clock care in a supportive environment. Your child will be able to recover, grow and learn optimal ways to manage symptoms for the healthier future.

Short-term, inpatient programs at Riverside include:

  • For children ages 5 to 12: A comprehensive program involving education and therapy to address severe depression, a history of physical or sexual abuse or serious behavioral problems.
  • For teens ages 13 to 17: Treatment that includes a full evaluation, group and family therapy, and personalized interventions for psychological, emotional and behavioral difficulties. This program also benefits teens who struggle with suicide, eating disorders, depression, aggression and other adverse behaviors.

With each program, you can rest assured that your child is being cared for by a team of licensed therapists, social workers and board-certified psychologists and psychiatrists trained in the unique needs of children and adolescents. No matter your challenge, our team will work closely with your family to promote healthy outcomes.
