Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Riverside Healthcare

Riverside Healthcare is committed to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture for the communities we serve.  Respect of human dignity has been central to our core values since the beginning. As we look into the future as an organization, we want to build upon a foundation of fairness and compassion. To make sure we remain true and committed to this important work, we have added a full-time Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator position to our organization; who will work closely with senior leadership and our DEI Governance committee that is designed to represent a broad range of departments and levels to develop and sustain our DEI strategy and annual goals.

How Riverside defines Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

Diversity means embracing and respecting all the differences of the communities we serve, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, age, socioeconomic status, veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, geographic distribution, physical ability, and language.

Equity is providing equal access to remarkable care, opportunities, and resources to every individual who comes through our doors.

Inclusion is acknowledging and accepting differences to build a welcoming and supporting culture so that everyone feels a sense of belonging.
