MHA Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health

Riverside Healthcare has been recognized for its commitment to employee well-being and mental health. Mental Health America has awarded Riverside the Platinum Bell Seal for its employee assistance program, "Well in Mind." The program is free, confidential, and provides support services for staff and their household members, focusing on prevention and a mindful mental health approach.

Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade (“A” Rating)

Riverside Medical Center received an “A” rating in the Fall 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing Riverside’s achievements in protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents, and infections. Riverside has received an “A” grade in the last five grading periods, Fall 2019, Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021 and Fall 2021.

CHIME HealthCare’s Most Wired 2021®

Riverside Medical Center earned CHIME HealthCare’s Most Wired designation for the 5th year. Most Wired organizations have deployed technologies and strategies around population health/cost-of-care analytics, HIEs/integration engines, and patient portals to help analyze their data and are starting to achieve meaningful clinical and efficiency outcomes.

Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence®

Riverside Home Health Care was named a 2021 Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey for outstanding patient experience. The award is presented annually to hospitals and healthcare systems that achieve performance in the top 5 percent for patient experience. Riverside Home Health Care is one of five organizations in Illinois to receive the Guardian of Excellence Award in Patient Experience and the only organization in the area to receive the award in 2021.

Riverside Is Designated A MAGNET® Hospital

The Magnet designation is one of the highest honors a hospital can earn concerning the standard of nursing care provided. With this designation, Riverside ranks in an elite group of only about 7 percent of healthcare organizations in the United States for nursing excellence.
Riverside first achieved the prestigious designation in 2011 and then proudly received redesignation in 2021.

Illinois’ and America’s Healthiest Employers

Riverside has been recognized since 2012 as one of the 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare by Becker’s Hospital Review. We received accolades for employee health and wellness for 2015–2016. Riverside was selected from more than 5,000 employers nationwide as America’s Healthiest Employer in 2015. In addition, Riverside was named Illinois’ Healthiest Employer by Crain’s Chicago Business in association with Cigna Media. Riverside’s employee wellness initiatives through the Riverside Employee Wellness program, REACH (Riverside Employees Actively Choosing Health), helped earn these distinctions.
