When is it time to see a Neurologist

Riverside Neurology Specialists work closely with your referring physicians to provide the optimum level of care to patients.

The following symptoms should be evaluated by a neurologist*: 

  • Sudden, severe headache
  • Change in language function
  • Hemiparesis
  • Hemisensory loss
  • Vertigo with neurologic symptoms
  • Noticeable change in memory state
  • Acute  weakness of lower extremities
  • Acute  weakness of all extremities
  • Sudden inability to walk
  • New-onset seizure
  • Poorly controlled seizures or status epilepticus
  • Numbness of hands and feet
