Hospital Charge Description Master Disclaimer

Riverside Medical Center is committed to price transparency and has posted this list of charges for inpatient and outpatient services (chargemaster). However, it is likely not a helpful tool for a patient to know their financial obligation or use to shop between hospitals. Descriptions for a service could vary from hospital to hospital and what is included in that description. Additionally, some procedures include many unique charges from different hospital departments.

A patient looking for an estimate for a specific procedure or test ordered by their provider would receive a more accurate estimate by either calling their insurance carrier or the hospital to request an estimate. Either of these options will look at what the hospital typically charges for the test/procedure, apply the negotiated rate agreed upon between the insurance company and the hospital, and use that information to provide an estimate. Although these estimates may not always reflect the final patient out-of-pocket due to pending claims and other unknown circumstances, they will provide more accurate data to allow the patient to make a more informed decision about their healthcare spending.
