Gastroenterology Curriculum
Fellows in the Gastroenterology Program enjoy rotations and a curriculum that offers various clinical and hospital-based experiences.
Program Rotations:
PGY-4: Inpatient GI, Radiology, Outpatient GI, Research.
PGY-5: Inpatient GI, Nutrition, Hepatology, Outpatient GI, IBD, Pathology.
PGY-6: Research, Inpatient GI, MOT, Outpatient GI, *Advanced Endoscopy.
*During 3rd year of fellowship, the 3rd year fellow will have exposure to endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography along with the ability to have hands-on training at the attending physician's discretion. Although the volume may vary, it's encouraged to pursue and apply to a 4th year interventional endoscopy year to reach the volume needed to comply with ASGE recommendations to practice these procedures on their own.
Didactic Topics
Gastroenterology didactics take place Monday through Thursday and cover a broad range of competencies necessary to achieve proficiency in the field of Gastroenterology. These lectures are attended by current fellows. The following is a list of some of the many didactics we provide:

Call Schedule
Typically, one GI fellow is always on call, but they are on call from home. Call rooms are available at the hospital as needed.
