Outpatient Infusion Services

Your doctor may prescribe infusion therapy (medication typically given intravenously by needle or as an injection) for those conditions that cannot be treated effectively by oral medications.

Infusion therapies include blood transfusions, therapeutic phlebotomy, hydration, and antibiotic therapy. Specialty infusion therapies may be used to address congestive heart failure, immune deficiencies, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, certain gastrointestinal diseases/disorders and more.

In the past, if you received infusion therapy, you had to do so through an inpatient hospital setting for the duration of treatment. Now, a variety of infusion therapy settings are available allowing you to incorporate your treatment into your normal lifestyle and work activities.

Riverside Healthcare Outpatient Infusion Center

The Riverside Healthcare Outpatient Infusion Center is designed for the comfort and convenience of patients who do not require hospitalization but may require infusion/injection therapy (intravenous medications). The Center provides a full range of outpatient infusion and injection services delivered with compassion and expertise by a staff of highly experienced registered nurses.

With state-of-the-art equipment, a focus on the highest quality and a commitment to personalized care, the experts at the Riverside Healthcare Outpatient Infusion Center accommodate the needs of patients receiving frequent/regular treatments, as well as those requiring less frequent visits. The Center is unique to the region and the first of its kind to offer this level of expertise and focused infusion therapy care in a comfortable setting for both patients and families. We search patients six months and older.

We accept referrals from all physicians licensed within the state of Illinois. Our team will investigate benefits and obtain prior authorization from the insurance company if needed.

Riverside Healthcare Home Infusion

Riverside Healthcare Home Infusion provides a comprehensive approach to infusion therapy allowing patients to receive these services safely from the comfort of their own homes. Our highly skilled team of professionals works together with Riverside Pharmacy, home health care, and Hospice to provide safe and comfortable experiences. This collaborative, compassionate team focuses on individual patient needs through appropriate education and training for in-home infusion therapy, parenteral nutrition therapy, and enteral nutrition distribution.
